Summertime Weather

July and August is generally beautiful, with daytime temps in the 80's and nighttime temps in the 70's. The ocean is normally 65 to 70 degrees in the summer; bayside swimming is always warmer than taking a dip in the Atlantic. Out at the Inn at The Moors, we have no problems when land temps reach 90 degrees because we're situated on the moors with nice breezes.

Off-season

From mid-May through June and from September through October, air temps range from the 60’s to 70’s. What's the best part of off-season? You can get exceptional days that feel just like summer—without the crowds.

About the Inn and Us

The inn, formerly called The Moors Motel, was built in the 1950’s by a local Portuguese family who also built the famous (and now defunct) Moors Restaurant. Proprietors Diane and Loretta have owned the property since 1992. When they retired from their respective teaching and nursing careers in 2002, they moved (with their cat Bob) into a newly constructed penthouse on property. Off-season, they reside in Brookline, Massachusetts. Keep up to date with the Innkeepers by reading Bob's Blog.
